About

Digital Artist:

Hi, my name is John Charles Maloney and I am a multi-award winning Digital Artist who was born in Liverpool UK in 1968. I still live there with my wife and our son.

My artwork is about 'Creating Happy Aesthetics' and is based on the use of bright and vibrant colour schemes in context with geometric shapes and abstract forms which I create in both Photoshop and Illustrator. I print these onto various formats such as canvas, giclee, gallery mounts, and cromaluxe. My overall aim is to give the viewer an uplifting sense of visual harmony and optimism. Some of my earlier works are a collaboration of digital photography and computer based images, whilst my more recent works are computer based. I am influenced a great deal by many genres of contemporary music and global travel which create a solid basis and foundation for my creativity, ideas and concepts. I am also a musician which also adds to my creative process.

I have a Masters Degree in Art and Design Teaching, a PGCE HE in Art and Design, a Bachelors Degree in Audio Visual Media, and an Art and Design Foundation Certificate. My career so far has consisted of working as a University Lecturer and a Graphic Designer in both the UK and USA. At present I have been concentrating on branding my digital artworks including creating original gallery pieces, limited edition prints and various product designs.
